Schermo dell'Arte - Archivio Film In this "turbofilm" by the artists’ collective Alterazioni Video, a journalist lands on the island of Lampedusa to investigate “Black Rain”, a strange meteorological phenomenon, similar to the Egyptian Plague of Frogs, in which African men dressed as super heroes fall from the sky.

Alterazioni Video is an artists’ collective made up of Paololuca Barbieri Marchi, Alberto Caffarelli, Matteo Erenbourg, Andrea Masu and Giacomo Porfiri, founded in Milan in 2004 and based in New York and Berlin. Their films were screened at the Venice Biennale; Manifesta (Trento); Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Maxxi Museum, Rome; Pac, Milan; Greene Naftali Gallery, New York; Ramiken Crucible gallery, New York; and the Hamburger Bahnhof  Museum in Berlin. Over the last five years, the collective has produced ten films, brought together under the name Turbo Film and screened at cinema festivals and in art spaces, including Cairo Film festival, Performa New York, Milano Film Festival, Art Basel Miami. In 2011 the Turbo Film Incompiuto siciliano. La trasformazione del reale" received the Lo Schermo dell’Arte Film Festival Prize 2011.
