“Giving voice to the voiceless”: this was the revolution of Giorgio Lolli, a former factory worker and trade unionist from Bologna, and a self-taught technician of free radios. During his forty years in Africa, he built over 500 radio stations, giving a voice even to communities in the most isolated areas. The film alternates archival footage with the journey of his disciple Abdrahmane Cissoko through Senegal, where he fulfills Lolli’s last wish: to create a radio station at the border of Senegal, Mali, and Mauritania, designed for young migrants. In competition at the 21st Biografilm Bologna.
Federico Bacci is a director, screenwriter, documentarian, and radio author. In 2003, he wrote the story for B.B. e il cormorano, which was presented at the Critics’ Week of the Cannes Film Festival. He is co-director of the documentary Elio Petri. Appunti su un autore, screened in Venice, at MoMA New York, and Annecy. Since 2007, he has directed the GuilmiArtProject, an artist residency in Abruzzo. His cinema is born from a strong connection with the subjects and communities he portrays, balancing political commitment with sensitive storytelling.

Francesco Eppesteingher is an art director, illustrator, graphic designer, and co-director. He has collaborated with visual artists such as Blu, DEM, Run, and Ericailcane, and worked on costumes and set design for documentaries like The Diabolikal Super-Kriminal. He designed the graphics for Kemp by Edoardo Gabbriellini and co-founded the Margini festival. His vision blends visual memory and underground culture, seeking connections between art, communication, and active participation.
