The camera observes a group of people inside an office, following their everyday work gestures. Nothing appears out of place. Yet as it leads us through the rooms, our perception of this particular space gradually shifts. We begin to wonder: what does this office represent for this group of people? The film’s performers are refugees from the We Are Here collective in Amsterdam, who are denied both the right to work and access to housing, and are therefore forced to live on the streets. The group has chosen to make their inhumane condition visible not by hiding, but by exposing the reality faced by those excluded from official procedures in the Netherlands.
