Elena Mazzi (1984, Italy) studied Art History at the University of Siena. In 2011, she graduated in Visual Arts from IUAV in Venice. She was selected for an exchange program at the Royal Academy of Art (Konsthögskolan) in Stockholm.
She has participated in numerous international exhibitions, including the 14th Istanbul Biennial, the 17th BJCEM Mediterranean Biennale, EGE-European Glass Experience, Fittja Pavilion at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice, COP17 in Durban, and the Festival of Contemporary Art in Slovenia.
Her works have been exhibited in various institutions, including GAM (Turin), Barriera (Turin), Botkyrka Konsthall (Stockholm), the Italian Cultural Institute (Stockholm), XIV BBCC Expo (Venice), and the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation (Venice).
Mazzi has conducted workshops and participated in residency programs at HIAP (Finland), GuilmiArtProject (Italy), Viafarini (Italy), Foundation Botin (Spain), Bevilacqua La Masa (Italy), Future Farmers A.I.R. (USA), Fondazione Spinola Banna (Italy), Dolomiti Contemporanee (Italy), and Botkyrka Konsthall Air (Sweden).
Winner of the second edition of the “VISIO Young Talent Acquisition Prize”: her work The Financial Singing (2014) will become part of the Seven Gravity Collection.
