Ludwig is Marcon’s first CGI video. Sitting on a box inside a ship in a storm, a child sings while trying to keep a lit match between his finger. The video is accompanied by an original musical composition inspired by the Lied, a genre developed in Germany in the 19th century.
Diego Marcon (1985, Busto Arsizio, lives and works in Milan). Recent solo exhibitions were held at Fondazione Trussardi- Teatro Gerolamo Milan (2023), Davies Street, England (2023), Museo Madre, Naples (2021), Galleria ZERO, Milan, (2019), Institute of Contemporary Art Singapore/LASALLE, Singapore (2019); Triennale di Milano (2018), Careof, Milan (2015). Two solo shows are currently in progress at Centro Pecci, Prato (2023/24) and Kunsthalle Basel, Basel (2023/24).
