Lo scherzo dell’arte is a parasitic short film festival curated by artists Roberto Fassone and Kasia Fudakowski, featuring the works of Julian Rosefeldt and Piero Steinle, Pilvi Takala, Lukas Geronimas and David Horvitz, Martin Skauen (Slideshow Johnny), Marie von Heyl, Kasia Fudakowski and Roberto Fassone.
The festival focuses on the role of humor and comedy in contemporary art, featuring seven short videos, each exploring mimicry, repetition, play and trickery in unique and unexpected ways. Displayed in an unconventional presentation, namely on a screen held by either Fassone or Fudakowski while wearing a tent-like costume, the festival serves up a personal experience for the viewer while reinforcing the comic structure of the project.
